An account is your OpenPMM identity. It owns API credentials and workspaces. A workspace is the tenant boundary for publishing data. It contains destinations, assets, and Posts. Each Workspace adds one unit to the Account subscription. Account members do not add a charge. Each paid Workspace has its own allowance of 50 X post items in each UTC calendar month.

API-key scope

An API credential belongs to one account. Its access mode is all or selected.
  • all gives access to all current and future workspaces in the account.
  • selected gives access only to assigned workspaces.
When you create a key in workspace settings, OpenPMM assigns that workspace to the credential. Call GET /account to get the account and the API credential context. Call GET /workspaces to list the available workspaces.
OpenPMM shows a new API key one time. Store it in a secret manager. If you lose the key, create a replacement and revoke the old key.

Stable identifiers

Use the workspace ID from GET /workspaces. Include this ID in each workspace endpoint. Do not use a workspace name, slug, or dashboard URL as an ID.
